Eirakukan Kabuki Theater was built in 1901 and is still standing in the same place. After being closed in 1964, Eirakukan was restored and reopened to the public in 2008. Unlike the modern Kabuki theaters found in metropolitan cities, feel the history and culture of Eirakukan as you indulge in a Kabuki performance.

The actors greet and introduce themselves to the audience in between the show's kabuki plays.

Customers eagerly wait for the show to start.

The synopsis of Kabuki plays was illustrated in these drawings, whereas today, posters are used instead. These are displayed above the main entrance of Eirakukan Kabuki Theater during November.
